Trimble launched two New Concept Applications alias Sketchup Scan and Trimble Through The Wall for Google's Project Tango Program

Trimble just introduced two concept applications well matched with the most updated tablet platform of Google's Project Tango program.

The motto of Trimble is to provide mobile appliances a human-scale perceptive of space and motion. The Trimble concept applications consist of SketchUp Scan and Trimble Through The Wall and these focus on prospective new techniques for construction professionals to apply their Google tablets for getting more perfection and insight to their work in the future.

By applying depth sensors on the Tango device, SketchUp Scan can be utilized to instantly take the view of a room, apartment or complete floor in 3D and automate the process for generating editable 3D Sketchup model.

This model can be distributed through leading social media platforms like Google+, Facebook and Twitter as well as through email. One can also upload the model from the Tango device to the 3D Warehouse, an exclusive platform for placing and distributing 3D models.

Being capable of editing the 3D model of the space correctly once the image is taken, facilitates the users to insert various features which range from windows and doors, to furniture, office equipment or nearly anything else through unlimited 3D models accessible in the 3D Warehouse.

Trimble Through The Wall make the tracking abilities of Tango appliances more efficient to find out what is placed inside walls and other structures. By acquiring the data from Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) software like Tekla Structures, Trimble Through The Wall can demonstrate and superimpose pipes, electrical wires and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) infrastructure on top of walls, at their exact location.

SketchUp Scan and Trimble Through The Wall are concept applications operating on the Project Tango Tablet development kits. Google present these development kits only to professional developers, providing a "sandbox" inside which developers will be able to try out with several concept applications. The final functionality of Trimble's concept applications are still under beta testing stage. For getting further updates, visit www.trimble.com/ProjectTango.
