A Letter to the Desk of the Editor:
Hope that you are all enjoying summer days well. In this pleasant summer day we are here with our brand new issue of the month of June. Hope that you all like our new html version. From warm response in various blogs and forums we think that we are creating a wave in the SketchUp community. We want to thank Mr Paul Lee for mentioning us on his SketchUp Ireland Blog.
It seems that Google ATC for SketchUp definitely helps some people who are in quest for authorized training centre to professionally learn SketchUp. Both the interview of James Ogston and Alex Roman got good review. But the sector which gave us overwhelming response was the Showcase Images. We got various SketchUp images from all over the world. And the most difficult part was to choose only three images. From this unexpected response we are planning for a SketchUp image competition. So start to prepare yourself well.
In this edition we are focusing on a complex and controversial aspect of SketchUp – the BIM aspects. Is SketchUp a BIM tool? This is a year old question which does not have any unanimous answer. Some says it is some says its not. So this time we are digging in the quest to find out a definite answer. Bonnie Roskes shares her math projects on which she shows how SketchUp has been utilized in school projects.
We are presenting three SketchUp artists and their stories with SketchUp whose work we chose to showcase in our previous issue. Our regular columnist Hussain Fadlallah shows us another trick in his article. The Tips and Tricks of Nomer Adona definitely helps all the SketchUp artists especially the newbie one.
I am very excited to share with you a special story on Kampoeng 3D, a club only for 3D artists in Indonesia. This unique move will definitely help the 3D world to get a new direction.
